Save for retirement

Registered retirement savings plans (RRSPs) are still one of the most popular ways to save for your retirement. Contributions are tax deductible and taxes are deferred until you withdraw your money.

Grow your money tax-free

With a tax-free savings account (TFSA), you don’t pay tax on any money earned or withdrawn. You can contribute to a TFSA at any time, and your unused contribution room is carried forward each year. Use these savings for education, a down payment on a home or other large expenses.

I believe in a holistic approach to clients’ finances, helping create the right balance. For over 20 years, I’ve enjoyed getting to know my clients and helping them make sense of their goals and objectives. And, as life changes, so does our journey together.

My passion to help people protect their finances is what drove me to become a financial advisor! From an early age I sought opportunities to help others, through volunteering and work. My interest in finances took me on a journey working in banking, life insurance, health and out-of-country medical coverage, and to being a financial advisor.

I take pride in keeping my practice up to date in an ever-changing industry, including learning what government programs, employee benefit programs, pension benefits and other new opportunities are available. I began volunteering with Advocis (The Financial Advisors Association of Canada) early in my career and am currently the Bay of Quinte Chapter president. Membership in the Canadian Institute of Certified Executive Advisors helps keep me up to date on issues concerning executors of wills and estates.

Being actively involved in the financial and business community is important to me, and can help refer clients to other professionals in the community.

During my personal time, I enjoy reading and making crafts such greeting cards, scrapbooks, embroidery and wood projects. I love spending time with our grandchildren. My husband, Norm, and I also like to travel and walk on beaches we discover. And whenever possible, I volunteer, do charity work, and help with local schools.
